Lack of updates…again

Im somewhat sorry for the lakc of updates, but im sure that the number of people visiting this site has dwindled considerably recently.

The main reason for the lack of updates is im not doing much work on the game.  Im coming up to my final A2 exams and have a lot of revision to do and not much free time to spend on the game, so don;t really expect any more updates until the beginning of may.

If i DO get round to doing some work as a break from reivison i will keep you posted here, but otherwise, the above applies.

Following yesterday’s screenshot, no i do not have another to show you.

Im going to fill you in on what my plans are at the moment, firstly Im going to finish the moblin fight demo as well as i can hopefully including all of the items to be used and having a decent AI as well (probabbly going to be the hardest part).  I hope to have that done during the summer after my exams.  Once that’s done I will essentialy have most of the engine for making the full game so it shouldn’t take too long to make the first dungeon (each dungeon will probabbly be released seperately).

However, as i may have mentioned before, once moblin fight is completed im planning to make the opening cut scene frame by frame in all its possible glory, so that will probabbly take until Christmas, by which time (if i switch between dungeon building and animating the clip scene to make sure im not bored) the first dungeon might be completed.

So although it’s probabbly a year off, there’s something to look forward to.

Zelda 2d Screenshot

If anybody hasn’t realised by the new screenshot and yesterday’s date, Zelda 2d isn;t cancelled.

Thought the new screenshot would be a nice treat and you’d like to see some of the features i’ve added and how things are actually going.  Admittedly most of the screenshot is “fake” shall we say, i set this all up i didn;t get to it through gameplay, however the finishing move is now in the game and working fine, as are the basic forwards sword swipes.

The items you can see also do not work, but i hope to include all of them in the demo and they’ll all be including in the final games anyway unless i find some major unsolvable problem with any of them.

In order, as the image isn;t great quality, the items are:

1:Arrows                                       2:Bombs                                          3:Boomerang                                    4:Double Clawshots                     5:Ball and China                            6:Bottle                                                             7:Spinner                                      8:Dominion Rod                             9:Lantern                                            10:Iron Boots         

The icons are temporary however and most are likely to change.

Zelda 2d Cancelled

As you can geuss Zelda 2d was a big project for me to take on and everything has just got to be too much, i’ve always been ambitious and taken on big projects and never being able to finish them, but i feel i should bow out gracefully and cancel this project so i can work on more minor things to improve my flash skills
