Walking left and right will be handeled with the left and right arrows, as will jumping with the up arrow. Crouching will use the down arrow and also link will use his shield to protect him while crouching.
In total, there ought to be over 20 different sword movements, none of them trigerred by combos, all of which should be easy and intuitive for you to use given the oppurtunity. Spin slash is activated using the space bar, I will reveal how the rest of the sword moves are activated at a later date (maybe tomorrow if im bored).
I’ve had a setback with the enemy actionscript for the screenshot, so it may still be a short while before i get that sorted now.

July 23, 2006 at 11:40 am | In Blogroll, Progress | Leave a CommentI was going to try and post one entry every day, as you can see that clearly hasn’t happened, but from now on I’ll post as regularly as possible.
The reason for the bigt gap is that fact that I’ve been back at school and found very little time to continue with devloping the game, however, just yesterday i finished off the walking animations (although they could still do with polishing up), added a crouch option and completed the first sword animation.
Also, i finally managed to get the new control scheme to do what i wanted, so the game will continue as planned.
Tomorrow I should talk more about the control system and might have a screenshot of the game in action, although it would’ve been made specially so it would be almost pre-rendered…
